We did not go to the streets to demand power: MP Yadav

Kathmandu Rastriya Swatantra Party (Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) lawmaker Purushottam Suprabhat Yadav has said that it has been a year since the government was toppled due to the street struggle and sacrifice of the youths.

Speaking at the emergency meeting of the House of Representatives on Wednesday, Yadav said that he lost his life after being shot at the bullet when his friends took to the streets peacefully during the protest.

He said that he also participated in the protest on September 23. He said that he was directly connected to the people who were allowed to participate in the agitation to take to the streets.

Yadav said that the youths had come out on the streets with their demands, but in return they had to face sticks and bullets.

‘Actually, what did we go to the streets to ask for? In return, we had to take sticks and bullets. Our friends got up on the road for Susan, fell at the barrel of a gun,” he said, “Our demand was not power. Nor did we go to take away anyone’s share. “

He said that the agitators’ demand is not to get power and that they have not taken to the streets to snatch anyone’s share.
