Five decisions of the Karnali Council of Ministers made public
Surkhet. The Karnali Province Council of Ministers has taken five decisions ranging from appointing the secretary of the Province Public Service Commission to approving the submission of a bill related to the empowerment of the Dalit community in the Provincial Assembly.
As per the decision of the Council of Ministers, Province Secretary Ram Bahadur Kurumbang has been appointed Secretary of the Karnali Province Public Service Commission. Similarly, Rs.
has been allocated for the construction of an incomplete building of Area Police Office, Rakam, Dailekh. It has been decided to ask for the authority of Rs 10.6 million from the federal ministries.
The provincial government has also decided to write to the Provincial Assembly Secretariat to provide the facilities of personal secretary to the members of the Provincial Assembly as per the rules.
Similarly, it has been decided to approve the presentation of the first amendment bill to the ‘Empowerment of the Dalit Community and Promotion of Living Act, 2081’ in the Provincial Assembly. This has paved the way for further amendment of the legal provisions related to the empowerment of the Dalit community and improvement in the standard of living.
The cabinet also decided to appoint Kalyani Khadka, Minister for Industry, Tourism, Forest and Environment, as the spokesperson of the Council of Ministers.
