Kathmandu. In solidarity with the communities affected by the recent floods in Nepal, USA Pharmaceuticals has provided Rs 1.5 crore for the relief campaign of Nepal Medical Association.
The amount has been donated to the relief campaign led by Nepal Medical Association (NMA) with the objective of providing immediate relief and assistance to the families severely affected by the floods.
With the help of USAV Pharma, 1500 people from about 300 households in various flood-affected areas of Nepal will be directly benefited. Many families have lost their homes, food, clothes and basic necessities of daily life due to the recent avalanches in Rasuwa, Nuwakot and Dhading and the situation arising out of it.
Some families have been forced to live in temporary shelters and there is also a problem in drinking water, sanitation, electricity and health services. In such a situation, the main objective of the relief campaign is to provide immediate necessary materials to the affected families and help them return to normal life.
The relief campaign being carried out under the leadership of Nepal Medical Association will identify the on-site needs of the affected areas and provide support on a priority basis. Through the
campaign, temporary accommodation will be arranged for the affected families and basic materials such as bedding and blankets will be provided. Similarly, there is a plan to provide necessary facilities for charging solar lights and mobile phones in the affected areas.
Clean drinking water and sanitation supplies, essential household items and medicines, as well as essential health and daily life essentials, will also be provided to the affected families. USA Pharmaceuticals, as a responsible organization working in the health sector, has fulfilled its main responsibility to contribute to the improvement of the health and quality of life of the people.
