Rasuwa Floods: Rescue team on the verge of entering Chilime Tunnel
Kathmandu. Excavators are being used to clear the debris and mud from the tunnel of the Chilime Hydropower Project affected by the devastating floods in the Bhotekoshi River in Rasuwa.
Excavators are being used to clear the debris and mud since early morning to search for those trapped inside the tunnel. According to engineer Gokarna Chaudhary, the rescue team is now on the verge of entering the tunnel.
The rescue team is clearing the way towards the tunnel by clearing the thick mud, stones and concrete piled up by the floods.
The team is continuously clearing the debris to find out the condition of the workers and other people trapped inside the tunnel and to rescue them safely.
