Kathmandu. Prabhu Bank is trying to keep the issue of an arrest warrant issued against CEO Suman Sharma a secret. The matter came to light after a CA close to the complainant himself reached the media regarding the arrest warrant that was kept secret for 12 days.
Initially, only the bank knew that an arrest warrant had been issued against CEO Sharma. However, the CEO of the bank refused to appear before the police saying that the case would be settled.
However, the CA who reached the media informed that an arrest warrant has been issued against the CEO Sharma. After this, the information officer of the bank, Rabindra Dhakal, informed that the matter had reached the media and no matter how much he hid it, the CEO left Kathmandu and reached Parsa.
A case of cheating and criminal breach of trust was registered against Sharma on September 15 and the court granted an arrest warrant on September 18. It has been revealed that he was involved in the work of the bank for a few days after the arrest warrant was issued and later reached Birgunj on force leave.
Sharma, who reached Birgunj from Kathmandu evading the eyes of the police, is preparing to appear before the court on Monday.
