Dhangadhi. Gorakh Bahadur Bista (Anand) has been elected as the general convention delegate from Kailali constituency no. 4 under the 15th general convention of the Nepali Congress.
Out of the total 690 votes cast by him, Bista won a landslide victory by securing 560 votes. After winning with a huge margin of 81 percent, Bista expressed his gratitude to the regional representatives, ward members, party workers and well-wishers who voted for him. After his victory, Bista said that he has been energized by the deep love, affection and trust shown by his brothers and sisters of Kailali constituency-4 since the parliamentary election. Stating that he felt that the victory by a landslide has added a more serious and responsible role on his shoulders, he vowed to dedicate his life for all-round development and prosperity by making the NC fully united, disciplined and consolidated. Bista, who has been at the forefront of the democratic movement, organizational strengthening, social service and people’s livelihood issues for more than
three decades, expressed his resolve to make the party dynamic, accountable and result-oriented as per the needs of the new era and new generation.
Bista said he was active in politics not for personal position, prestige or ambition but to be a true servant of the people and party cadres.
He has expressed his determination to make the party fully united, disciplined and disciplined by rising above factionalism and internal tussle.
He has been able to unanimously elect the leadership from ward to region in Kailali-4 this time as per his resolution.
He also pledged to connect the knowledge, skills and capital earned by millions of Nepalis living abroad to the nation building and to make the Nepali PR committees abroad more effective, systematic and dignified.
“I will always be active to make the Congress strong, policy clarity and a center of hope for the younger generation. I am always committed to the issues of technology-friendly party, good governance, zero tolerance against corruption, employment, entrepreneurship, economic transformation, inclusive and united Congress,” he said.
Bista clarified that his role would always be clear to make the party modern, transparent and trustworthy of the general public as the NC was not only a means to win elections but also the main engine of social and economic transformation of the country.
