Kathmandu. CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli has said that the party can rise above the current setback if it moves ahead by strengthening it.
Administering oath of office and secrecy to the nominated members of the central committee at the party office in Chyasal on Friday, Oli said that the party which has been moving ahead with the grand goal of prosperity of the country can sometimes be settled. He also urged the party leaders and cadres not to get entangled in petty issues and egos. Oli said, “The elements that did not allow the development of the country tried to stop our campaign, instigate it, defame the party but they do not talk about the policies.”

claimed that the UML has brought the economic policy by focusing on development-oriented, people-oriented, people-centric and national upliftment.
“It is one thing for the capitalist side to protest against the economic policy in a hushed voice, but they cannot criticize the policies much,” Oli said. He said that the UML has put forward the policy of keeping the market open and making the state accountable.
Claiming that there has been a ‘regression’ in the country, Oli said that although the party has suffered some setbacks, it can rise from it and move forward.
‘There is regression in the country, there has been a setback. But our party has moved ahead with such a great purpose. Therefore, let’s not get entangled in petty things, do not get entangled in ego, do not get entangled. Let’s move forward with a broad mind in the great purpose,” he said.
He said that even if there are setbacks, it is possible to rise from them and move forward on the path of success.
Chairman Oli urged the newly appointed central members to play a leadership role and establish themselves as ‘ideal persons’ in the society. He also directed them not to misbehave with anyone and stay away from wrong conduct.
He urged people to give up the habit of anger and said that they should avoid misdeeds. “Keep the habit of anger in the house. We should avoid misdeeds, because we are UML,” Oli said.
