Badri Aryal’s ‘Economic Direction of Prosperous Nepal’ and ‘Political Direction of Prosperous Nepal’ released
Kathmandu. ‘Economic Direction of Prosperous Nepal’ and ‘Political Direction of Prosperous Nepal’ authored by Badri Aryal have been released in Kathmandu.
The two books were jointly released amidst a function organized by Jaya Nepal Foundation at Rastriya Sabha Hall, Exhibition Road. Speaking on the occasion, Nepali Congress General Secretary Pradip Poudel said that he was a long-time companion in the political journey while talking about his friendship with Badri Aryal. He expressed happiness over the publication of the book and wished for the continuation of such writings in the coming days. Reviewing the book, CPN-UML leader and former Finance Minister Surendra Pandey said ‘Economic Direction of Prosperous Nepal’ could make significant contribution in building economic base, thinking and vision required for building a prosperous Nepal. Stating that the study of this book was necessary as it presents sufficient basis for the country’s prosperity, he said that the book would be of important help especially for the politicians to build their economic vision. Similarly, senior journalist Purushottam Dahal said that the book will be useful for the new generation who want to enter the political journey in Nepal.
He said that the book has seriously raised the issues of leadership role within a political party, the responsibility of the cadres, the legitimacy of the party, political conduct, honesty and the formation of political views. He said that the book is worth reading for those who want to understand the meaning, purpose and responsibility within the party.
Senior litterateur Nawaraj Lamsal reviewed both the books and praised the author’s writing and presentation.
He described the book as a creative and distinctive writing and thanked the author for its publication. He also said that both the books are worth reading for all the citizens who are interested in the country’s prosperity, politics and economy.
Kareena Puri, an under-thirty advocate and gold medalist national athlete, pointed out the need to study the book targeting the new generation. She said that especially the youth and the new generation should study such books to form their own opinion and perspective on nation building. She thanked the author saying that the book has given a message to inspire the new generation to think about nation building and realize responsibility. The program was presided over by Hari Parajuli, the publisher of the book, and the welcome speech was given by Founder Member of Jaya Nepal Foundation and Advocate Prakash Rawal. On the occasion, the speakers stressed that the debate on Nepal’s construction and prosperity should not be limited to political slogans but should be seen in terms of economic vision, political culture, leadership responsibility, good governance, production, entrepreneurship and civic responsibility. The two books, written by Badri Aryal, present the economic and political perspectives necessary for Nepal’s prosperity from different angles. The ‘Economic Direction of Prosperous Nepal’ focuses on production, entrepreneurship, economic nationalism, self-reliance, employment and economic transformation while the ‘Political Direction of Prosperous Nepal’ focuses on the issues of political leadership, role of political parties, democratic culture, political conduct, good governance and responsibility of political power in nation building. Both books are presented as an attempt to expand the public discourse on Nepal’s prosperity and politico-economic transformation.
