6 popular youths of the Congress preparing to join the central committee
Kathmandu. The 15th general convention of the Nepali Congress is starting in the capital from Sunday amidst the changed political environment and contradictions within the party. The general convention will not only elect a new leadership to lead the Nepali Congress, but it will also decide the political agenda of the country’s oldest and democratic party.
Apart from this, the Congress has become the most talked about topic of youth. After the Jenji rebellion of September 23 and 24 last year, the attraction of the young generation in Nepali politics has become a matter of special interest in the Congress Congress.
This time, a large number of youths from all over the country have come to Kathmandu as delegates to the general convention.
The presence of about forty percent of the youth in the ‘old’ party is expected to make the internal life of the Congress younger. The role of not only President Gagan Thapa but also some influential new and young leaders is equally important to increase this attraction of the youth within the Congress.
which is not only giving hope to the future of the Congress but also to the politics in the present. Through the general convention, this generation is trying to interfere in the internal matters of party reform by inserting themselves into the central committee.
One such character is Niskal Rai of Ilam. Even when there is a wave of Rastriya Swatantra Party across the country, Rai, who was directly elected from Ilam-1, is showing an impressive presence in the current House of Representatives.

Rai is also a strong contender for the central committee of the new Congress Central Working Committee.
Kanchan Jha of Birgunj is also another leader of the new generation that has emerged in the Congress. Jha, who has been debating new issues and issues to connect the younger generation especially in the Congress party office, is also busy preparing for the general convention.

Arjun Chaupari Rural Municipality of Syangja is the best performing local government among the local levels in the country. It is led by Prakash Tiwari, a youth leader of the Nepali Congress.

Tiwari has taken forward the latest work for the improvement of the municipality. The establishment of Nepal’s first Navagraha temple was also built on his vision to develop the municipality as a tourism hub.
Eliza Dhakal of Tanahun of Gandaki Province not only actively participated in the special general convention campaign of the Nepali Congress but also participated in the nationwide dialogue tour for the transformation, revitalization and attraction of the party along with the then General Secretary and current President Gagan Thapa.
She also has the experience of working in the awareness sub-committee against caste discrimination as a member of the Nepali Congress, Central Policy and Training Academy. She has filed her candidacy for the post of central member with the main mantra that there is no gap between generations to connect the energy of the youth with the experience of the elders, but the path of cooperation and coexistence is necessary.
Karuna Katwal of Dhankuta, who is leading the Nepal Student Union, the sister organization of the Nepali Congress, is a representative of the changing Congress.
