Various highways blocked and partially operated due to floods and landslides
Kathmandu. Major highways and road sections in various states across the country have been affected due to floods and landslides.
According to the details made public by Nepal Police, the road has been completely obstructed and one-way traffic has come into operation due to landslides at different places. All
the main highways in Rasuwa district have been completely blocked since 10:30 am due to floods. These road sections will remain closed until further notice.
The Beni-Jomsom road section has been completely obstructed at Baisari of Raghuganga rural municipality-02 and Sukebagar of Annapurna rural municipality-03 due to landslides. The road leading to Khangsar via Besisahar has been obstructed since 16:00 pm due to floods. The one-
way traffic along the Kaligandaki Corridor has been resumed after a landslide occurred at Ghumauri Ghat of Bulingtar rural municipality-6 at 19:30 pm on September 26.
Similarly, the landslide that occurred at 16:45 pm on September 3 at Baudikali Rural Municipality-3 of the same corridor has obstructed the movement of heavy vehicles from the area, police said.
