Kathmandu. Delegates, leaders, cadres and supporters of the Nepali Congress have started gathering at the Khula Manch to inaugurate the 15th General Convention of the Nepali Congress.
Nepali Congress representatives and well-wishers from different parts of Kathmandu are heading towards Khula Manch for the inaugural ceremony to be held at Khula Manch at Tundikhel at 2:00 pm.
Delegates are staying in Gaushala, Koteshwar, Lazimpat, Thamel, Balaju, New Bus Park, Sundhara and Kalanki areas for the general convention. The number of representatives and leaders and cadres from these areas has increased.
Underground parking has been arranged at Dharahara’s underground park, old bus park, Bhrikutimandap, National City Hall, Nepal Academy and Annapurna Hotel premises at Durbar Marg. Arrangements have been made to use one lane of the Maitighar to Bhadrakali road for the big buses carrying representatives from outside the Kathmandu Valley.
The Congress will hold the inaugural ceremony of the 15th general convention at Khula Manch at 2 pm. More than 7,500 delegates will participate in the convention, the Congress said.
This year’
s convention will be held with the slogan ‘Respect for tradition and determination for change: An alternative to a strong Congress for a prosperous Nepal’. After the inauguration, the election program will be held on October 19 and 20 and on October 21 and 22.
