Kathmandu. General Secretary of the Labour and Culture Party, Aryan Rai, has said that there should be competition among the political parties on who will do the best work for the country rather than the competition of how many years to run the government.

Addressing the inaugural session of the 15th general convention of the Nepali Congress on Sunday, Rai said that the political parties should now move ahead unitedly for nation building.

He said, “I would like to make a request from this general convention that instead of competing on which party will rule for how long and for how many years, we should compete on what will work for the country.” Rai said that the Nepali Congress is not a party founded by rumors. “We understand the NC as a party built by many fighters sacrificing their personal interests and dreams for the establishment of a democratic republic,” he said.

“The Nepali Congress is not a party established through rumors, it is a party built by many fighters sacrificing their personal interests and dreams for the establishment of a democratic republic,” he said. He said that all political parties should unite for nation building in the coming days.
