Kathmandu. Buddha Air has said that its attention has been drawn to the misleading screenshots and materials prepared on social media and some online media using photoshop and AI.
Buddha Air, through a press release issued today, clarified that it has been providing one-way airfare to Dhangadhi at Rs 10,800. According to the company, tickets have been sold for most of the days as tickets are being provided at the lowest fare. Buddha Air has decided to provide air fare at a minimum fare to the passengers in case the road transport has been disrupted for a long time due to floods and landslides in Rasuwa area.
The company has announced to provide tickets at the minimum fare until the road is smooth and till Dashain and Tihar.
Buddha Air has warned of strict action if it is found selling tickets at a price higher than the fare fixed by its official system and sales channel.
“If any person, travel agency or other means are found selling tickets at a higher price unauthorizedly, we strongly object to such acts and take necessary legal action as per the prevailing laws,” the company said. Buddha Air has also urged passengers not to make assumptions about airfare based on misleading information and screenshots circulating through social media or other unauthorized means.
According to Buddha Air, passengers will be able to get information about fares and tickets only from the company’s official sales channel, website and mobile app.
The company has said that the number of passengers going out of Kathmandu has increased but the number of passengers entering Kathmandu is comparatively less. Buddha Air has also provided a promo code offer for passengers coming to Kathmandu at the lowest fare.
The promo code can be accessed through Buddha Air’s website and mobile app. Buddha Air has stated that it will continue its commitment to provide easy, safe and affordable air service to its passengers and the general public in difficult times of disaster.
