UML to hold ward conventions on December 19 and municipal conventions on December 19
Kathmandu. The CPN-UML has decided to organize the national gathering in the third week of November.
Announcing the decision of the standing committee meeting held on Thursday, Deputy General Secretary Lekhraj Bhatta said that the decision was taken to hold the national gathering in the third week of November. According to him, the party’s provincial and district office-bearers, municipalities chairpersons and vice-chairpersons, as well as people’s representatives from the federal, provincial and local levels will participate in the national gathering. He said, “It has now been decided to hold the ward convention on December 26 and the municipal convention on December 19. It has been decided to hold a national gathering in the first week of November and involve the party’s provincial office-bearers, district office-bearers, chairpersons and vice-chairpersons of the municipality and people’s representatives of the federal, provincial and local levels. “
Similarly, it has been decided to send Najma Khatun to the vacant seat after the death of Zainab Khatun, who was representing Rautahat under the proportional representation category in Madhes Province, Bhatta said.
“In view of the death of Zainab Khatun, who was elected from Rautahat under the proportional representation category in Madhes Province, it has been decided to send Nazma Khatun, who is in order number 42 and Dhanusha’s candidate Nazma Khatun, who is in order number 42 and number 40 in the closed list,” he said.
According to Bhatta, the standing committee meeting of the UML will be held again at 1 pm tomorrow.
