NC General Convention: Delegates queue up for hours to cast their votes

Kathmandu. Delegates have been queuing up for hours at the polling place in Khula Manch to cast their votes in the 15th general convention of the Nepali Congress. Delegates from different districts are enthusiastically participating in the voting process to vote for the new leadership of the party.

Anil Chaudhary, a representative of Saptari Constituency No. 4, said that he has been standing in the queue since 7:3

0 am. He said that even if he has to stand in the queue for a long time, he will return after voting.

He said that he was 100 percent confident that the candidate he voted for would win.

Chaudhary said that they have come to vote for NC President Gagan Thapa again, citing the contribution of the Nepali Congress for democracy and bringing the party to the present position by going through various ups and downs. Similarly, Sitaram Yadav, a representative of Siraha constituency number 4, also reached the polling station early in the morning to cast his vote. He said that although there were some difficulties in voting, he came from the district excitedly. He also expressed confidence that the candidate he voted for would win.

Jung Bahadur Mahato, a representative of Sarlahi Constituency No. 3, said that he would return to the polls no matter how long it takes. He said that they have participated in the leadership selection process as representatives with the belief that the general convention would be important to give a way out to the current political situation.

Delegates from different districts are participating in the voting by standing in queues for a long time. With the voting being held to elect the new leadership, the hustle and bustle at the polling place at Khula Manch has increased.
