Traffic resumes after removal of mud on BP Highway
Kathmandu. Traffic has been restored after removing the mud that fell on the under-construction road section of the BP Highway due to incessant rain throughout the night.
Vehicular movement along the BP Highway was completely disrupted on Saturday morning due to landslides, mud and mud falling along the road between Narke and Pinthali (about 3 kilometers from Mangaltar towards Bhakunde). According to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority (NDRRMA), security personnel and technical teams intensified the work of removing the mud with the help of dozers immediately after the road was blocked. According to the local administration, the vehicles that were stopped on the road have started leaving for their destinations. Drivers have been urged to travel carefully as the road is under construction even though the road is open.
