Education system should prepare students for future challenges: President Bhandari

: President Ram Chandra Poudel has said that our education system should prepare students not only for the present but also for future challenges and opportunities.

President Poudel said this while addressing the 80th anniversary and diamond jubilee ceremony of Pashupati Mitra Secondary School here on Saturday.

“The modern world is going through a phase of rapid change, the rapid development taking place in the fields of science, technology, artificial intelligence and communication is changing both the form and necessity of education.

He stressed that with change, our basic human values need to be further strengthened. “The more powerful the technology becomes, the need for human rationality, responsibility and sensitivity also increases, so it is necessary to keep humanity, tolerance, social harmony and responsibility towards the nation at the centre of education,” he said. He said that the school is the basic institution for building the future of the nation along with knowledge, education, awareness and awareness. “Discipline, honesty, hard work, tolerance, good conduct, patriotism and social responsibility are not only imparted in the classrooms of schools,” he said, adding that today’s students are tomorrow’s teachers, doctors, engineers, administrators, entrepreneurs, politicians, scientists and responsible citizens of the nation. President Poudel said, “Education means not only getting good marks in examinations but also creating a foundation for the students to be able to solve problems, develop new thinking, make the use of technology and be responsible citizens towards the society and nation.
