Gagan Thapa expresses sorrow over the floods in Budhigandaki, urges people to get involved in rescue efforts
Kathmandu. Nepali Congress President Gagan Thapa has expressed sorrow over the flooding in the Budhigandaki River at Chumnubri area and swept away two bridges.
Thapa has expressed sorrow over the incident of flooding that swept away the bridges linking Nyakchet-Phillip and Dhading and Gorkha this morning and urged the people living along the banks of the Budhi Gandaki to the Trishuli River to adopt high alertness. He also requested the people living on the banks of the river to stay in safe places and follow the directives issued by the local administration. President Thapa has appealed to all the leaders and cadres of the Nepali Congress to actively engage in rescue, relief and necessary support to the people affected by the disaster. He urged the people living along the river banks to remain vigilant and take necessary precautions to avoid possible risks in the flood-affected areas.
