Budhi Gandaki floods: Federation of Truck Transport Entrepreneurs appeals for rescue and risk mitigation

The Federation of Truck Transport Entrepreneurs of Nepal has appealed to the transport entrepreneurs, workers and the general public to involve in the risk mitigation and rescue work in the flood-affected areas of Budhigandaki River.

Issuing a press release on Sunday, the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNJ) said that the floods have caused huge loss of life and property, urging the people in the affected areas to adopt precautions. The Federation has urged the people living on the banks of the river and surrounding areas to adopt high alertness and follow the directives issued by the security bodies as the risk of flood may still remain. Issuing a press release today, FNCCI President Rajendra Bikram Baniya stressed the need for all to contribute from their respective places in risk mitigation and rescue operations in this hour of grief. The federation has appealed to transport entrepreneurs, transport workers and the general public to help make humanitarian assistance and rescue works effective in the flood-affected areas.
