Winning and losing is a natural process, not deviating from the election results: Gururaj Ghimire
Kathmandu. Nepali Congress leader Gururaj Ghimire has said that the politics of the future will move forward with different thinking, different style and different culture.
Ghimire, who was defeated in the post of General Secretary in the 15th General Convention of the Nepali Congress, expressed gratitude to the voters through social media on Monday.
He said, “I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to all the respected delegates of the general convention who trusted me for the post of General Secretary and gave their valuable votes. The 1,513 votes you gave me are not only a number but also a great inspiration for my faith, confidence and the upcoming political journey.” He said that winning and losing is a natural process in a democracy and that he is not disturbed by the election results. He also said that the journey ahead will be moved forward with a different mindset and style.
‘I express my commitment to pursue my political journey from a new angle without being distracted by this result. The politics of the future will move forward with different thinking, different style and different culture — where integrity, ideas, dialogue, honesty and party transformation will be the main basis,” he said, adding, “This is not the end, it is a new beginning. I will continue to work in the campaign to make the Nepali Congress more dynamic, democratic and accountable to the people, based on your trust.” ’
