Matihani, Mahottari. The wheelchair distribution program has been started with the objective of helping the physically handicapped (disabled) people of Matihani Municipality in easy mobility.
Hari Prasad Mandal, mayor of Matihani Municipality, inaugurated the wheelchair distribution programme amidst a programme held here today. Pawan Kumar Mandal, chief of the health section of Matihani Municipality, said that the wheelchairs will be distributed to 40 physically challenged people of Matihani municipality. The distribution of wheelchairs is expected to ease the daily commute of people with physical disabilities and help them in their livelihood. This type
of support program is expected to make an important contribution to increasing the accessibility, self-sufficiency and social participation of persons with disabilities.
Medical Officer Krishna Kumar Pariyar of Matihani Health Post, Chief of Women, Children and Senior Citizens Section Deepa Das, Information and Technology Officer Jay Kumar Yadav, CAHA Officer Nageshwor Pandey, Public Health Officer Smriti and other locals were present on the occasion. The program is being implemented with the support of Health Office, Mahottari and coordinated by Matihani Municipality.
