Kathmandu. Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle has left for Bangkok, the capital of Thailand, to attend the joint annual meeting of the World Bank Group and the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
Finance Minister Wagle left for Bangkok from Tribhuvan International Airport on Tuesday afternoon.
During the meeting, Wagle will participate in more than 16 bilateral and multilateral meetings and discussions. The meeting is expected to discuss Nepal’s economic situation, international economic cooperation and development priorities.
Finance Minister Wagle along with Finance Secretary Dr. Ghanashyam Upadhyaya, Chief of International Economic Relations Division Joint Secretary Amrit Lamsal, Finance Minister’s personal officer Madhav Bhandari and officer Gajendra Bhattarai will also visit Bangkok. Finance Minister Wagle is scheduled to return to Nepal on October 19.
