We will wait until the investigating agency tells us about Sunar, action will be taken if found guilty:
Kathmandu. The party’s disciplinary commission has started an investigation against Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) lawmaker Khagendra Sunar.
Talking to media persons on Tuesday, RSP Chief Whip Kabindra Burlakoti said that the matter against Sunar has been discussed in the party mechanism and has already gone to the Disciplinary Commission. He said Sunar has been instructed not to attend formal events until the investigation is complete.
He said, “The disciplinary commission will do the necessary study and investigation. And, till then, till the investigation is concluded, Khagendra Sunar has been instructed not to participate in any program or formal programs in this position and to remain within the discipline of the party.” Burlakoti expressed confidence that the investigation will not last long and the truth will come out from the investigation. However, he said that it may take time depending on how deep the investigation is.
‘How deep it is or just superficial will be known after research. I can’t put a date on that,” he said.
Burlakoti said that there is a need to check the veracity of the materials made public on the issue related to Sunar. He said that the investigation will also make it clear whether the videos and audios made public are real or fake. “Whatever needs to be investigated, whether it is right or wrong or there is some problem, there is no problem or it is just a rumour outside, whether it is a video or audio is fake or whatever, it is true, whatever it is, it has to be investigated,” he said, “If we find out as soon as we see it, then we don’t have to investigate.” We wait until our investigating agency tells us so.

He clarified that the party mechanism has been activated as this issue is related to the internal discipline of the party rather than the parliamentary activities. He said that although the parliamentary party is active in the matter of parliamentary activities, the party itself will take the necessary process on the party issues.
He said that there was no need to take action after the party took information about Krishna Kumar Karki earlier. However, he said that the truth of the matter should be checked as the material with some evidence has been made public.
He made it clear that action would be taken if Sunar is found guilty by the investigation. He said that no action will be taken if it is proved that there is no mistake.
‘If there is no mistake, nothing happens, if there is a mistake, action will be taken. That’s all I can say now,” Burlakoti said.
