Govt appoints Poudel as Inspector General of Armed Police Force

Kathmandu. The government has appointed Narayan Dutta Poudel as the Inspector General of Armed Police Force (APF).

A meeting of the Council of Ministers held at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers in Singha Durbar on Monday decided to promote Poudel to the post of Inspector General of the Armed Police Force.

Incumbent IGP Raju Aryal is retiring on May 1 after completing his four-year term as IGP.

Informing about the decisions of the meeting, Minister for Education, Science and Technology, Sasmit Pokharel, who is also the spokesperson of the government, said that the decision was taken to include the Security Printing Center in the list of public bodies competing with the private sector and a notice to this effect would be published in the Nepal Gazette.

The meeting also decided to approve the Customs Regulations-2083.
