Kathmandu. Minister for Communications and Information Technology Bikram Timilsina has said that Nepal is a prosperous country characterized by diverse languages, cultures and identities. Speaking at a program organized to mark the 126th anniversary of Gorkhapatra, Minister Timilsina said that it was a matter of pride that the publication of materials in different languages in Gorkhapatra was a matter of pride.
“Nepal is a prosperous country full of diversities. We are also rich in language. All languages should be respected. It is both a matter of ridicule and pride for us that different languages are being published in Gorkhapatra. ’
Minister Timilsina said that although the history of Gorkhapatra is glorious for over 125 years, serious review was necessary to find out where the institution stands in the present situation.
“On the one hand, there is an unremarkable history, on the other hand, there is a beautiful past. Today, the time has come to review where the institution of Gorkhapatra stands. “Our journey ahead may not be so pleasant if we do not respect and review the place of Gorkhapatra which carries a history of 125 years,” he said.
He said that preparations are being made on how to work for the welfare and progress of the institutions related to the government. “We are preparing all the organizations related to the government of Nepal on how to take them forward, how to work for the welfare and prosperity of the organizations,” he said.
