Kathmandu. Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) President Rabi Lamichhane has said that his party was seriously pursuing policy-making. Speaking at a programme ‘National Independent Party Policy Manthan: Disaster Risk Reduction and Management’ in the capital today, leader Lamichhane said he has been holding consultations with experts on various policies and ideologies since the establishment of the party.
He stressed that the issues raised during the policy deliberations should not be limited to media content or programs only, stressing that these issues should be transformed into policy.
He said, “Along with its establishment, the RSP has started refining and refining itself by brainstorming with experts on various policy ideas.” But policy discussions and discussions should not be just media content. It should not reach the ears of the participants. Let it get an opportunity to be transformed into a policy. The issues discussed should be taken forward as a policy so that the concerned sector can benefit. For this purpose, we have been taking the policy churn very seriously. ’
He said that the concerned sector would be directly benefited if the suggestions received from the discussion could become the policy of the country through the party’s policy.
He said, “Things are different according to the time and need. But the discussions held through policy brainstorming should really become the policy of the country through the policy of the party and the concerned sector should be able to benefit from it. May the ideas expressed here be meaningful. ’
Stating that the topics of policy and debates would change as per the need and time, President Lamichhane expressed the view that the ideas expressed through the policy brainstorming should be meaningful. He also said that the RSP was taking such discussions very seriously.
