Kathmandu. Chief Whip of the ruling Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), Kabindra Burlakoti, has clarified that there is a legal provision that the ministers designated by the Prime Minister would take part in the discussion on the policies and programmes and would respond to them.
The ruling party has responded to the House of Representatives meeting on Wednesday demanding that the Prime Minister should answer the questions raised in the government’s policies and programs.
“According to Article 38 (3) of the House of Representatives Regulations, the ministers designated by the Prime Minister shall participate in the policies and programmes and respond to the Prime Minister’s policies and programmes in case the Prime Minister is not present,” he said. So, I request the House not to be entangled in the discussion and proceed with the discussion. Today, I have been informed that the Prime Minister has appointed the Finance Minister as his representative. ’
