Kathmandu. CPN-UML lawmaker Suhang Nembang has said that the constitution amendment should not only be amended, but it should move forward by further strengthening people’s rights. Speaking at the meeting of the House of Representatives on Thursday, he said that the constitution amendment process should move ahead with the objective of taking the country towards progress by protecting the rights of the people.
“The amendment of the constitution is not just for the sake of amendment. It is not for moving forward by keeping the rights of the people on the test. It has to be for progress. Not for the sake of regression. ’
He said the constitution was not merely a collection of letters, but a document of common consensus written with the blood and sweat of Nepali people. “The constitution is not just a collection of letters. It is also a document of common consent written with blood and sweat. It is also a link between national unity and shared psychological sentiments,” he said.
