Committee formed to take action against lawmakers involved in indecent activities in House of Representatives

Kathmandu. Speaker DP Aryal has said that a probe committee has been formed to investigate into the incident of creating disorder in the House of Representatives and demonstrating indecent behaviour. Speaking at the meeting of the House of Representatives on Monday, Speaker Aryal said that he has received detailed information regarding some lawmakers creating disorder, displaying indecent and objectionable behavior in the meeting of Jestha 17, 2083 BS and even causing physical damage and damage.

“Detailed information about the incident has been received after the conclusion of the meeting as per Rule 33 (4) of the House of Representatives Regulations, 2083,” he said. A report on the matter has also been prepared today. ’

According to Speaker Aryal, a three-member committee has been formed under the coordination of Secretary of the House of Representatives, Prakash Adhikari, to submit a report within seven days after carrying out further investigations into the incident.

The committee comprises the chief of the Internal Service and Planning Management Division of the Federal Parliament Secretariat and the chief of the Technology Management Division. The Speaker made it clear that necessary action would be forwarded as per the regulation after receiving the report.

“I would like to inform you that necessary action could be forwarded as per Rule 33 (4) of the House of Representatives Regulations, 2083 after receiving the report,” he said. ’
