Kathmandu. The government has decided not to take Ganesh Nepali, 25, of Mugu Soru rural municipality-1 to India for treatment. As per the initial advice given by the doctors involved in his treatment, the government had completed all preparations to take the Nepali to the AIIMS in New Delhi, India.
Home Minister Sudan Gurung himself had mobilized Nepal Police and Traffic Police throughout the night to take Gyawali to the airport. The government has arranged for an air ambulance for him.
Earlier, the government had said that all the expenses of the treatment of the Nepalis would be borne from the government fund. All arrangements were also made to take Nepalis from the airport of India to AIIMS Hospital. However, the government has decided not to take him to India immediately after the doctors suggested that he would risk his life if he was shifted to another hospital after his health condition became unstable.
Doctors have suggested that the Nepalis should be taken to India only after their health stable. Therefore, Home Minister Gurung and members of the secretariat of Prime Minister Balen Shah have been working on standby at Bir Hospital since last night.
The Nepali, who was admitted to the emergency ward of Bir Hospital at 3:00 pm on Thursday, suffered 55 per cent burns on his body.
Currently, the coordinator of the plastic surgery department of Bir Hospital, Dr. Under the leadership of Piyush Dahal, the unit chief Dr. Dr. Apar Lamichhane, Critical Care Nirman Gyawali, anaesthetist Jaya Prakash Thakur, Prof. Dr. A special team of 21 people including Dr. Biram Shrestha and health workers of the nursing service has been mobilized to save the life of the deceased.
The team of doctors is constantly administering special medicines to control his blood pressure and stabilize his health.
