Janakpur. Minister for Education and Sports, Sasmit Pokharel, has said the government has been working to make Madhes a literate state.
Talking to media persons at Sankatmochan School in Janakpurdham on Monday, Minister Pokharel said that he has submitted a report to the provincial government to build a literate state.
He informed that the works are also being carried out at a rapid pace as per the report submitted to the Madhes Province Government.
Minister Pokharel said that he would return only after taking information from the province chiefs and unit offices.
Minister Pokharel said that he was going to inspect the land in other places as well as to take stock of the problems seen in the construction of the building of Rajarshi Janak University in Janakpurdham.
He said that he had discussed with the dean of the university and would inspect the land at Mujeliya of Janakpurdham and the construction site at Phulgama today.
On the occasion, Minister Pokharel showed interest in further strengthening education standard of Rajarshi University.
Minister Pokharel handed over cricket bat, football and badminton rackets to the students of Sankat Mochan School in Janakpurdham.
Minister Pokharel also pledged to provide sports coaches to the school soon. He has also played cricket with the students.
