From Drugs Limited to Nepal Airlines, positive results are being seen, claims Prime Minister Shah
Kathmandu.KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Dr Balendra Shah has said facilitation, motivation and coordination have been accorded priority to make the national industries and corporations vibrant and competitive from the very beginning.
Issuing a statement through social media on Saturday, Prime Minister Shah claimed that the government industries and institutions which have been closed for a long time and have been operating at a loss have started showing signs of improvement.”From the very beginning, the new government has prioritized continuous facilitation, motivation and coordination on how to revitalize and revitalize national industries and institutions.
Due to the same sincere efforts, law enforcement, and continuous “teamwork,” some industries are beginning to see promising results. According to him, Nepal Drugs Limited has sold medicines worth Rs 23.8 million in the last four months. The target is to sell medicines worth Rs 300 million in the current fiscal year.

The company has earned a profit of Rs 30 million in the last fiscal year after meeting the World Health Organization’s ‘Good Manufacturing Practice’ (GMP) standard. The target is to sell medicines worth Rs 30 crore in the current financial year.
According to him, Nepal Drugs Limited has set a target to produce 98 types of free medicines in the next three years as per the 100 agendas related to governance reforms forwarded by the government .
Preparations are in the final stage to produce 25 types of medicines against the target set for this year. “
Prime Minister Shah said that the Nepal Army has been given the responsibility of test production for the revival of Hetauda Textile Industry, which was closed for long. He said that after the repair of the tan ‘loom’, test production has started and some quantity of cloth is also being produced. He said that the government is preparing to operate the industry after the test.
The Prime Minister said that the income of Nepal Airlines Corporation has also improved.
According to him, the NOC had earned Rs 6.27 billion in the first six months of the last fiscal year. This is an increase of Rs 1.10 billion compared to the same period of the previous fiscal year.
He said that the seat occupancy of Nepal Airlines has reached 86 percent during this period.
According to him, it has increased by 6 percent compared to the same period of the previous fiscal year. The Prime Minister said that Rs 1.06 billion was also paid in installment of Rs 1.06 billion as loan taken from Employees Provident Fund and Citizen Investment Trust for the purchase of the aircraft.
Similarly, he said that priority has been given to the payment of pending arrears of farmers at the Dairy Development Corporation (DDC).
According to him, the payment cycle of farmers has been reduced from eight months to two to three months. He said that the payment cycle which was around Rs 72 crore earlier has now been limited to around Rs 35 crore.
