. KATHMANDU: Chairman of the Janata Samajbadi Party Nepal (JSP), Upendra Yadav, has accused the government of running the country from outside the process of the constitution and the rule of law.
Addressing a program organized to announce the Progressive Front on Saturday, Yadav said that the state should be run as per the constitution, rules and procedures by amending the constitution.
He said, “Now the country is being run in an unconstitutional manner outside the constitution. Therefore, we should mobilize the state to amend the constitution and govern the country through the constitution, rules and procedures. “
He claimed that there was no good governance, corruption had not decreased and peace and security had not been strengthened in the country. “Economically the country is getting dilapidated and politically it has been pushed towards confusion and uncertainty,” he said.
‘Today there is no good governance in the country, nor has corruption decreased. There is no peace and security. The country has gone from economically ruined to political confusion and uncertainty,” he said.
“In the past, there was a feeling that the country’s independence was attacked by burning down Singha Durbar, Supreme Court and Parliament House,” Yadav said, adding that all the state forces were now concentrated in a single place. He said, “The feeling that the country’s independence was attacked by burning down Singha Durbar, Supreme Court and Parliament building yesterday, today all the forces and powers are concentrated in one place.”
Statutory bodies, even ministries, have not functioned independently. Totalitarianism gives birth to authoritarianism. Authoritarianism destroys democratic norms and values. “
Chairman Yadav said that the main objective of the Progressive Front is to provide equal rights, equal opportunity and respect to the citizens who are politically inequality, economically exploited and are socially disgraced and humiliated.
He stressed the need for progressive forces to unite to take the country ahead through the constitution, process and democratic process.
