. KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress parliamentary party leader Bhishma Raj Angdembe has extended best wishes to all the indigenous nationalities in Nepal and around the world on the occasion of the 32nd International Day of the World.
Issuing a message of best wishes on Sunday, he has remembered the struggle, sacrifice and sacrifice of the indigenous nationalities for their history, identity, language, culture and rights. He said that the contribution of indigenous nationalities from Nepal’s democratic movement to the establishment of federal democratic republic is unforgettable.
Stating that the Constitution of Nepal has institutionalized federalism, secularism, proportional inclusion, social justice, identity and cultural rights, he said these achievements were not out of mercy or kindness but were the result of people’s long struggle.
He has stated that he has felt that the recent activities and expressions of the government are oriented towards weakening the federalism, secularism, inclusion and democratic republic rather than further strengthening it. Stating that the shortcomings in the constitution could be corrected and the problems surfaced could be resolved, he said the mistakes seen in the course of constitutional exercise could be corrected through constitution amendment and amendment.
He, however, is of the clear view that attempts to destroy the achievements of the people’s struggle will not be acceptable.
Stressing the need of ensuring the identity, language, culture and rights of indigenous nationalities in practice, he stressed the need of institutionalizing federalism with just representation and identity at all levels of the state. On the occasion of International Day of the World’
s Indigenous Peoples, Angdembe has expressed his commitment to implement the resolution of building an inclusive, equal and just Nepal.
