RSP to launch ‘Citizen, Policy and Leadership’ programme from August

Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: The Rastriya Swatantra Party (Rastriya Swatantra Party) is to launch ‘Citizen, Policy and Leadership’ programme from coming August.

Issuing a press release on Sunday, Rastriya Samajwadi Party joint general secretary Asim Shah said that the programme is being organized with the objective of developing a political culture that is accountable, transparent and result-oriented to the people.

Under the program, the ministers of the Rastriya Samajwadi Party will be present at the central party office at least once a month and interact directly with the citizens and the party ranks.

Under this program, the ministers of the RSP participating in the government will be compulsorily present at the central party office at least once a month and connect with the citizens and the party rank and file directly. It is believed that it will act as a bridge connecting the voices of the people directly to the level of policy making and implementation of the state,” the statement said.

The

program will run in two phases. In the first phase, the ministers will directly listen to the complaints, problems, expectations and suggestions of the general public from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm. The RSP has hoped that this will bring the real problems and voices of the citizens to the level of policy formulation and implementation of the state.

This will be followed by a second round of ‘Leadership Dialogue’ from 6 p. m. A joint meeting will be held among ministers, central committee members and members of the House of Representatives. The meeting will discuss the contemporary, multi-dimensional and policy-level issues along with suggestions received from the citizens.

According to RSP, the main objective of the program is to formulate a common strategy to address the issues of the citizens by making coordination among the citizens, government, legislature and party organizations effective. The programme also aims to make the ministers directly accountable to the general public, to formulate the party’s views on the formulation of national policies and laws by understanding the real problems of the citizens, and to facilitate effective exchange of information and action plans among the representatives of the party’s organizational level, parliamentary party and government.
