. Leader of the Genji movement, Rabi Kiran Hamal, has said that the state should be serious about resolving the problems of the students preparing for the Public Service Commission.
Speaking at a press conference organized by the students of the civil service, Hamal said that the students preparing for the civil service generally do not participate in the agitation but focus on their studies and aim to serve the state in the future.
‘Those who are peaceful, do not agitate and do not like agitation are the students of public service. They will have to serve in various positions of the state tomorrow. So, they think that they will serve the nation by focusing on their studies rather than participating in the movement,” he said.
Hamal said that it is a serious matter that such students have to participate in the agitation in recent times.
Stating that the constitution has guaranteed opportunity to youths as their fundamental rights, he said it was unfortunate that youths were forced to agitate for employment opportunities.
‘Employment is a fundamental right. This is not something to be asked for, it is something that should be ensured by the state. Can’t a student study public service and say that he will serve the country, get a job and take care of his family?” he asked.
He said that no one has the right to obstruct the education and employment opportunities of the students preparing for public service.
“Who has the right to stop this? Who is Balen Shah? Who is the Prime Minister? Who is going to stop the youth?” he asked.

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and the then Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak had tried to stop the youths in the past, which had yielded results, he said.
According to him, about four to
five lakh youths are preparing for the Public Service Commission annually in Nepal. He said that the state should seriously pay attention to the problems of a large number of civil servants and their future ।
