. KATHMANDU: There is possibility of rain in most places of the country today as there is the influence of the monsoon wind, the Meteorological Forecasting Division said. According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, the monsoon low pressure trough is around the average location.
At present, there is generally
cloudy in the hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi and Lumbini provinces, Bagmati, Gandaki, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces. According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, the weather will be partly cloudy in the Tarai region of Madhes State, Bagmati Province, Gandaki Province and Sudurpaschim Province.
Light to
moderate rainfall is taking place at some places of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces at present.
According to the Division, the weather will be generally cloudy throughout the country this afternoon.
Light rain will occur in some places while light snowfall is predicted in high hilly and mountainous area. Likewise, moderate rain is predicted in high hilly and mountainous area.
Likewise, moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely to occur at some places of Koshi, Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces and at a few places of Tarai region of Madhesh, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces. Similarly, heavy rainfall is likely to occur at one or two places of the hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces, and at a few places of the hilly and terai regions of Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces.
Tonight will also be generally cloudy throughout the country. Light rain will occur in some places while light snowfall is predicted in high hilly and mountainous area. Likewise, moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely to occur at many places of the hilly region, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces.
There are chances of moderate rain in some places of the Tarai region of Madhes and Koshi province.
According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, there will be generally cloudy in the hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces, and at a few places of hilly and mountainous regions of Karnali Province.
The Division has urged the residents of the risk areas to adopt necessary precaution as the risk of mudslide, flood, landslide and soil erosion may increase due to heavy rainfall. The Division has urged the bodies concerned to adopt necessary precaution as the incessant rainfall is likely to affect daily life, agriculture, health service, tourism and mountaineering as well as road and air transport.
