. Chairman of the Labour and Culture Party, Harka Sampang Rai, has accused the government of failing to provide security, justice, facilities and opportunities to the citizens.
Speaking at a meeting of the House of Representatives on Tuesday, Sampang said that citizens and lawmakers are not safe in the country.
He demanded that the Prime Minister should be present in the parliament fulfilling moral and official responsibility.
Sampang said that the Prime Minister has been demanding to be present in the parliament for two and a half months, but he has refused to come. Sampang accused the government of failing to take effective action despite incidents of arson, vandalism, threats and religious disputes in the country.
He urged the government to create an environment where citizens can travel safely.
Stating that the state of justice was also weak, he said that the ministers and officials of the concerned bodies should take to the streets to understand the problems of the agitating citizens.
He said, “You can’t meet the country by sitting in the ministry with air conditioning. To visit the country, we had to go to the rivers, the fields, the factories. We had to listen to the voices of the protesting citizens on the streets. “
Sampang said that the government should understand the plight of the citizens who are forced to stand in the gas line for hours. According to him, although the people voted for the incumbent government with high expectations, the expected change could not be achieved.
He blamed the Prime Minister’s negligence, irresponsibility and lack of effective coordination with the ministers as the main reason for the current situation.
Claiming that there is misunderstanding within the government, he said that the country cannot be run by children.
