Upgraded series of BYD to be made public at Naima Expo

Kathmandu. BYD is showcasing its upgraded Etto series at the NIMA Mobility Expo 2026 kicked off at Bhrikutimandap in Kathmandu on Monday. Atto 1, Atto 2 and Atto 3 are on display.

On the occasion of the expo, Rojan Maharjan, Manager of BYD Bhaktapur Branch, informed that new and upgraded features have been added in all three models.

According to him, a 360-degree camera has been added to the Atto 1, while the Atto 2 has a new ‘Essential’ variant and the Atto 3 has a facelift.

‘We have launched our new upgraded vehicles. The Atto 1 comes with a 360-degree camera add. The Atto 2 has received a new essential variant and the Atto 3 has a new facelift,” he said. 

According to Maharjan, all three vehicles are based on BYD’s Blade battery technology and e-platform 3.0.

All three models come with a range of safety and convenience-focused features.

The latest upgrade to the Atto 1 includes a 360-degree camera, a wireless charger, and automatic folding looking glass.

These features were not available in the previous variant.

‘Previously, the Atto 1 didn’t come with a 360-degree camera. Now a 360-degree camera has arrived. Automatic folding features have also been added to the wireless charger and looking glasses,” he said. 

The Atto 2 comes with a new essential variant with a lower battery capacity.

According to Maharjan, the Atto 3 will showcase a new facelift design in the company.

According to BYD, the Atto 1 Dynamic is priced at Rs 30,75,000 and the premium is priced at Rs 34,80,000. The Atto 1 Premium is priced at Rs 34,80,000.

The Atto 2 Essentials is priced at Rs 45.95 lakh and the premium is priced at Rs 48.99 lakh. Similarly, the Atto 3 Advance is priced at Rs 62.90 lakh and the Atto 3 Superior variant is priced at Rs 78 lakh, according to Cimex Inc.

Maharjan claimed that the Atto 1 is especially suitable for Nepalese roads. With its small size, short wheelbase and 175mm ground clearance, it will be comfortable on normal gravel and some off-road roads.

Maharjan said that the attraction of customers towards electric vehicles is increasing in Nepal.

According to him, the operating cost of electric vehicles is lower than vehicles with internal combustion engines (ICEs).

BYD has provided various facilities to the customers during the expo. According to the company, customers will get one year of road tax, auto plus insurance, free accessories and one year BYD App facility.

The stall hall number 5 of BYD at the expo is located as soon as you enter from the main entrance.

According to the company, customers can see the vehicle at the expo site and book online.

and more than 20 dealers and 13 service centers all over Nepal.Maharjan said that four more service centers are under construction.

He said that the company has arranged for roadside assistance to provide service to the customers outside the valley as well.
