Janakpur. The victims have accused former Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Govinda Sah of trying to trap innocent people by misusing his position and influence.
Relatives of 53-year-old Gopal Sah, his wife Rekha Sah, 48, and their 32-year-old son Hareram Sah staged a demonstration in front of the district court on Thursday. Rekha Sah’s son Jayaram Sah has accused former SSP Govinda of trying to show his identity and arrogance. Jayaram said that former SSP Govind had sent his mother and his relatives to jail on charges of meter charge in an attempt to get back the land he had sold five years ago. According to him, he has purchased the land after completing the due process, in which the wife and son of former SSP Govinda Sah are also keeping the documents with their consent. According to Jayaram, his mother was implicated in the case of meter interest and fraud to reclaim the land after five years after the main road was removed from the land sold five years ago.
According to him, a person like the SSP must have signed a paper without reading it. Jayaram said that he respects the court and expects justice. He objected to the forcible extension of the remand even after 25 days.
Jayaram has urged the government to create an environment to complete the legal process outside the court.
Former SSP Govinda has been claiming that he had taken a loan of Rs 99 lakh from Rekha Sah in Baisakh 2079 BS.
He later told a press conference a few days ago that he had filed a case of meter interest and fraud after coming to know that his land had been transferred to someone else’s name ।
