Little. Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle has said that the new budget has been brought with the objective of building the country from Nepal’s income.
He said this while inaugurating the annual review programme of the District Coordination Committee Tanahun on Thursday.
According to him, the government has adopted a policy to increase income by collecting small amounts by widening the tax net and developing the country from one’s own income.
He said that the country’s capacity is less than the people’s hopes and aspirations for development and at the same time the donor loans have become expensive, there is no alternative to the country to become rich on its own.
‘We’ve been seeing it since the past. We are paying the loan and its interest by taking a loan. The liability of the regular and essential state is 1350 billion. The government’s income is only around Rs 1250 billion,” he said. Wagle said, “Now we have widened the tax rate and introduced incentive programs to pay tax. “
Finance Minister Wagle said that everyone should rise above the thinking that they should not take loans, they should not pay taxes, but development should be carried out in any way.
He also urged the public to be assured that the government will save the people from the liability of the final tax to address the complaints that the tax has been added to the new sector due to the widening of the tax net. He also clarified that the government was trying to make the economy of Rs 66 trillion dynamic by stirring up the private sector through a budget of Rs 2,
124 billion.
He also said that an environment conducive for non-resident Nepalis to invest in Nepal will be created soon.
