Kathmandu. Police have also recorded statements of Pramod Acharya, chief of loan department and senior manager at Nepal Investment Mega Bank’s head office, in connection with the alleged illegal auction of government-owned properties.
A case has been filed against the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Chairman and Director of the bank on charges of fraud, organized crime and banking offense at the Kathmandu District Court.
In the charge sheet filed by the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) after a long investigation, it has been alleged that the property of Smart Cell, which has already been owned by the government, was auctioned to benefit Ncell.
Police are continuing to record statements from the concerned officials and employees in course of investigation. According to police sources, statement of Acharya, chief of the loan department, was also recorded. See his statement below:
