Smart cell scam: NIMB proprietor Shalikram Belbase files case against top officials

Kathmandu. Shalikram Belbase, a member of the board of directors of Nepal Investment Mega Bank, has also given statement on the alleged illegal auction of property already owned by the government.

He gave his statement after the police sought his statement in the case. Prior to this, cases of fraud, organized crime and banking offenses had been filed at the Kathmandu District Court against the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Chairman and other directors of the bank.

In the charge sheet filed by the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) after a long investigation, it has been alleged that the property of Smart Cell, which has already been owned by the government, was auctioned to benefit Ncell.

Police are continuing to record statements from the concerned officials and employees in course of investigation. According to a police source, the statement of Belbase, a member of the board of directors, was also recorded. Check out his statement below:
