Fraudster arrested on the pretext of sending him to Canada
Kathmandu. A man has been arrested for cheating people on the pretext of sending them to Canada.
Police on Wednesday arrested 33-year-old Chudamani Rakhal of Parbat Modi Rural Municipality-5 in Bhaktapur on the charge of cheating money on the pretext of sending him to Canada on the pretext of lucrative salary.
A police team deputed from Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office, Teku arrested him from Suryabinayak Municipality-2 of Bhaktapur on the basis of a complaint filed by the victim that Chudamani had taken Rs 185,000 from one victim on the pretext of sending him to Canada.
He has been sent to the Department of Foreign Employment, Tahachal, Kathmandu for necessary investigation and action.
