. The Meteorological Forecasting Division of the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has said there is possibility of heavy rain in some places as the influence of monsoon continues throughout the country.
According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, there is generally cloudy in Koshi, Bagmati, Karnali, Sudurpaschim and Sudurpaschim provinces, and in the mountainous and hilly regions of Gandaki and Lumbini provinces.
The weather is partly cloudy in the Tarai region of Madhes, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces.
Light to
moderate rainfall is taking place at some places of Koshi, Bagmati and Lumbini provinces, at some places of Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces, and at one or two places of Gandaki provinces at present.
The weather will be generally cloudy throughout the country this afternoon. Light rain will occur in some places while light snowfall is predicted in high hilly and mountainous area. According to Meteorological Forecasting Division, moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely to occur at some places of Madhes, Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces and at some places of Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces.
Heavy rainfall is likely to occur at one or two places of the hilly region of Bagmati Province, Gandaki Province and Karnali Province and at one or two places of Tarai Province in Lumbini Province. The weather will be generally cloudy in the hilly region and partly
cloudy in the Tarai region tonight. Light rain will occur in some places while light snowfall is predicted in high hilly and mountainous area.
There are chances of moderate rain in one or two places of Tarai region of Gandaki, Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces, and at one or two places of Madhes, Koshi and Bagmati provinces.
According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, there is possibility of heavy rainfall at one or two places of the hilly region of Bagmati, Gandaki and Karnali provinces.
The Division has urged the general public to adopt necessary precaution as there is a risk of mudslide, flood, landslide and soil erosion in the areas prone to heavy rainfall.
