45-year-old Mahatara of Chhedagad went missing after being swept away by the Lamti River

Jajarkot. Dal Bahadur Mahatara, 45, of Chhedagad Municipality-9 has been swept away by the Lamti rivulet.

Bahadur Khadka, a local, said that Mahatara was swept away by the Lamti rivulet at the border of Chhedagad municipality-10 and 11 on Monday evening while returning home from Thalaha.

A police team from the Area Police Office, Badaban, reached the incident site immediately after receiving the news of the incident.

A joint team of police and locals is searching for Mahatara, said the police.

Locals have been urged to remain alert as the water level of the river is increasing due to the night time and continuous rain. It has also requested not to move in the rivers and vulnerable areas.
