Kathmandu. Prime Minister Balen Shah has informed the House of Representatives about the damage caused by the floods and the rescue, relief and rehabilitation works carried out by the government.
Seeking time in the meeting of the House of Representatives on Wednesday, Prime Minister Shah gave detailed information about the government’s activities in the aftermath of the Bhotekoshi floods. He informed the parliament that the government has immediately mobilized different mechanisms for rescue and relief in the flood-affected areas and apprised the parliament of the efforts underway for the rescue of the flood-affected people, distribution of relief and resumption of blocked roads and communication services. The Prime Minister said that the details of loss of lives and property due to floods were being collected and the government was carrying out activities with priority to normalize the situation in the flood-affected areas.
