Kathmandu. Singer Samiksha Adhikari has come up with a new Teej song ‘Yasali Teej Barai Melbourne Ma’ on the occasion of Krishna Ashtami targeting the upcoming Teej. The song is composed by singer Manas Raj and lyrics by Dr. Krishnahari Baral. The song is arranged and mixed by Narendra Viyogi and released on the YouTube channel of singer Manas Raj on Friday.
The video of the Teej song ‘Yaspaliko Teej Barai Melbourne’ prepared by Nepas has been shot in the beautiful scenery of Melbourne. Like the audio, the video has become excellent. The videos produced in the Diaspora are usually prepared on the basis of Rahar, but NePS has made it commercially superior.
The music video features Pooja Chhetri, Sayad Shrestha, Garima Rayamajhi, Suruchi Sapkota, Diksha Chhetri, Resha Khadka, Agnya Rai, Diya Aryal, Shreeya Kandel, Prisha Maskey, Precious Ghimire, Alina Marasina, child artists Prabham Gurung and Sansha Khatri.
The choreography and direction of the video is by Sayad Shrestha. He said that such songs will play an important role in promoting Melbourne Nepali art, culture and costumes.
He said, “When we shoot the song, it brings our new generation closer to Nepali art and culture, and Australians also get a chance to understand Nepali traditions.” We have been promoting Nepali costumes in the cultural programs held here. Director Shrestha is living in Melbourne and is active in various genres related to Nepal art. Model Pooja Chhetri also expressed her happiness for acting in the Teej song. She said that she had the experience of celebrating Teej while staying in Nepal during the shooting.
Singer and composer Manas Raj has composed the Teej song for the first time. “This song is both audio and video powerful. We have prepared the video with a lot of hard work in Melbourne. This song expresses the art, culture of Teej as well as the joy of the festival,” said singer Manas. Manas, who has made a name for himself as a viral singer through the song ‘Viral Bhaidyo’, has made a name for himself in the film ‘Resham Filili’, ‘Pari Tyo Dadama Dekh Gham Lagyo Ghamailo’, ‘Maya Mayama’ from ‘Diary’, ‘Hero’, ‘Lailai Rajkumari’ and other songs.
The video has cinematography by Jeevan Rasaili, editing by Dinson Shah and color combination. The video has been prepared by Nepas with post-production at iCatch Studios.
