Kathmandu. Search and rescue operations have been intensified in various affected areas. Seven Nepal Army and six civilian aircraft have been airlifted from various affected areas till 3 pm on Friday.
A joint team of 75 Nepali Army, 18 Armed Police Force, Nepal Police and experts has been mobilized for the rescue of people trapped trapped in the tunnel of Trishuli-3A Hydropower Project.
The team rescued two people alive from inside the tunnel and brought them to Shree Birendra Hospital, Chhauni by helicopter for further treatment. They are undergoing treatment. A body has also been recovered from the same place during the search and rescue and further search and rescue operations are underway.
Likewise, a joint rescue team comprising 89 personnel of Nepal Army and three non-military personnel and Managing Director of the Trishuli-3 ‘B’ project identified the office and residential areas of the project.
Excavators are being used to dig and clear the soil using Bobcat for the construction of the road to reach the area. The team has entered 426 meters from Audit-1. Also, work is being done to bring an excavator from Audit-1 and link up with Trishuli-3A.
A joint search and rescue team comprising 25 Nepal Army personnel and two civilians entered the tunnel and found two bodies in the Langtang Hydro. Further search and rescue operations are underway in the area. A joint team of foreign technicians at Chilime Hydro has been working to remove the silt accumulated inside the tunnel with the help of generator and mud pump. Similarly, a joint rescue team comprising 17 Nepal Army personnel and representatives of the project is carrying out the search operation in the tunnel at Haku of Upper Trishuli-1 using rafts and boats. The work of extracting the water collected inside the tunnel is also underway. A team of 55 engineers from the Nepal Army has been mobilized to construct a bridge over the Tadi River at Devighat in Nuwakot district.
Some parts of the Acro Bridge at Gajuri have been taken to Trishuli and more materials are being transported.
A team including medical officers is patrolling the forests, hills, streams and settlements in the affected areas to ensure the safety of the locals. Health services have also been provided to the locals during the patrolling.

,300 troops of the Nepal Army have been deployed directly from Timure of Rasuwa to the affected areas of Nuwakot, Dhading, Chitwan and Nawalparasi East. They are coordinating with the concerned authorities to carry out search and rescue of the injured, assistance in the management of dead bodies, operation of blocked roads and emergency treatment.
The Nepal Army has said it has continued its search and rescue, relief and rehabilitation works in the affected areas.
