Radha Krishna Rath Yatra was taken out at different places of Sunsari
Inaruwa. On the occasion of Shri Krishna Janmashtami, Radha Krishna Rath Yatra was taken out in various places of the district including Inaruwa on Saturday.
The chariot processions were taken out in various places of the district including Itahari, Duhabi, Harinagar, Bhokraha Nasingh rural municipalities, including the district headquarters Inaruwa. Keshari Niraula, chairman of the temple committee, said that the chariot procession started from Radha Krishna Temple in Inaruwa-3 and concluded after going through different parts of the city. Niraula said that the chariot with the idol of Lord Shri Radha Krishna was circumambulated in different parts of the city in the Rath Yatra carrying religious and cultural importance. Devotees from different communities, devotees, locals and representatives of social organizations participated in the Rath Yatra. The chariot procession, which is taken out every year on the occasion of Sri Krishna Janmashtami, is believed to further strengthen religious faith, social harmony and cultural unity, the organizers said. Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Chandra Bahadur Khadka said that Nepal Police and Armed Police Force have also been mobilized for security to make the chariot procession well-managed and safe. Meanwhile, Krishna Janmashtami is celebrated the next day in different parts of the district, according to the locals. Locals said that fairs were also held in Kosi, Bhokraha, Harinagar, Dewangunj, Gadhi and other places of the district. Local journalist Surendra Mehta said that hundreds of local devotees participated in the fair.
